During the studying of the foreign language people use the same segment of the brain as they use during the studying of the native language when they are children. In fact children do not learn at first their native language; they perceive it and repeat the words, phrases and structures. Children usually speak fluency before they begin to study the grammar and develop their writing skills. The same method works when people study second language.
But actually the majority of the language schools begin the studying of the foreign language with the grammar and reading. This method does not develop the part of the brain which answers for the speaking skills. This supposition is confirmed by the fact that the people from other countries which are working in the English – speaking countries and have never studied English in the language schools and courses speak fluently and communicate without problems and restrictions. They just developed their center in the brain which answers for the language studying and speaking. As a result, they had high language level.
In a similar manner, all people can study foreign languages. And they do not have necessary go to English – speaking country. Undoubtedly, students can have more practice there, but nothing more. There are no magic methods of studying there. The methods are the same.
The language schools in fact have many disadvantages. Before starting of the studying candidates have to pass special language exam, which allows discovering the level of language skills. According to the results of the test all the candidates are distributed into groups. But during the semester some new students arrive and they have to repair an omission. Unfortunately, often all students from the group have to repeat the passed material because of new student.
So there are many pros and cons of the studying of foreign language abroad and the student have to make the choice themselves depending on their wishes, goals and abilities.
